UPDATE: VOTING HAS ENDED, AND PHILIPPE HAS WON THE COMPETITION.

HE WILL THUS BE ON STAGE THIS FALL PRESENTING HIS PROJECT AS A TEDXHARVARD!

BIOGASWORLD THANKS EVERYONE WHO HAS VOTED FOR HIM, YOU HAVE HELPED BIOGAS!

Just over a year ago, Philippe Noël, a student from Rivière-du-Loup in Quebec of only 18 years old, was finishing his research project conducted on anaerobic digestion in order to obtain his Diploma from the International Baccalaureate Programme from the Cegep of Rivière-du-Loup.

Today, his project might very well allow him to realize a dream before even starting his university studies. Indeed, Philippe is currently a finalist in a competition organized by the prestigious Harvard University, in order to win the opportunity to share his passion and the results of his research project on anaerobic digestion in the TEDxHarvardCollege event in fall 2016.

If he gets this opportunity, Philippe will take the stage of the Sanders Theatre to present an official TEDxTalk of 18 minutes alongside professors and researchers from Harvard University and the TEDxHarvardCollege organization.

Although this is a very important potential showcase for Philippe, it is obviously also a great opportunity to promote biogas and contribute to the development of its global industry by explaining not only how anaerobic digestion works overall, but especially emphasizing its possibilities, benefits, and future prospects on the environmental, economic and social aspects.

About Philippe Noël

Philippe is an ambitious and committed student as well as a recent graduate of the Diploma in the International Baccalaureate Programme of the Cegep of Rivière-du-Loup. In the quest for excellence, he applied to several renowned universities and finally chose to study at Harvard University in Massachusetts.

In fall 2016, he will thus begin undergraduate studies in physics and engineering, and aspires to a successful career in research. His interest in research is precisely what has led him to complete a major project on anaerobic digestion which, although promising, is still largely unknown. That is why he wants to spread and democratize this biotechnology, and your support will contribute to materialize his ambition!
