Conference language: German / English with simultaneous translation
11-13 October 2022
Neubausaal Schwäbisch Hall, Germany
Quo vadis Biomethane? Today’s societal challenges are manyfold, ranging from greenhouse gas mitigation to increasing energy prices. At the same time additional opportunities have been popping up in the last few years, which should encourage an increasing utilisation of biomethane and other green gases.
With RePower EU, for example, the EU has put together a package which aims at increasing Europe‘s independence from Russian fossil fuels, starting with gas. One of several measures for increasing resilience is a larger production of biomethane and hydrogen production and imports. Furthermore, biomethane is seen as an important means for greening the transport sector and, according to political visions, hydrogen shall be the main future energy source. A rather current, not yet mainstream, development is the marketing and utilisation of CO2 from biomethane and hydrogen production to replace fossil CO2, thus increasing the benefits of biomethane and hydrogen from biogas.
With our international conference “Progress in Biomethane“ we are looking deeper into those opportunities, but also at the restrictions that are currently – at least in Germany – hindering the growth of the biomethane market.
Your presentation can be held either in English or German language as there will be professional simultaneous translation during both conference days.
