Anaero Technology was founded from our need for equipment capable of evaluating the biogas or inhibitory potential of feeds processed in full-scale AD plants. Anaero Technology has developed and patented equipment that is easy to use, robust, consistent, and capable of using the same inoculum, and feed, of full-scale plants. We aim to improve access to AD research and optimisation whilst driving research standards up.
Biomethane Potential (BMP) is a biological test to evaluate the potential methane/biogas volume generated from a material (substrate). The test comprises two elements: a) Inoculum and b) sample. Inoculum (seed) is fed an amount of sample on a VS ratio basis (F/M), gas yield is then measured continuously in real time. The gas is measured and converted to units of ml/gram VS substrate at Standard conditions for Temperature and Pressure (STP).
BMP equipment developed by Anaero Technology allows consistent evaluation of feedstock biogas and inhibition potential. The different models of BMP sets offered by Anaero Tech are shown below.
The Nautilus model is a basic BMP test to evaluate the potential biogas volume. It counts with 15 differents reactors. This equipment has easy sample handling with robust stainless steel mixers. It has wide mouth HDPE reactor bottles for easy sample handling and minimum risk of damage if dropped. The high reactor volume (1 litre) allows larger sample and inoculum volumes to be processed.
It includes Gasflowmeter.
Pegasus model is also a BMP test to evaluate the potential biogas volume. This model counts with 3 reactors with a bigger volume than the Nautilus model (5l). This equipment is also easy sample handling and counts with robust stainless steel mixers. The material of the digester or tank reactor is 316 Stainless steel, but also with this model it is possible to store the digestate in a second tank attached to the reactors. The high reactor volume (3 litre) allows larger sample and inoculum volumes to be processed.
It includes Gasflowmeter.
Phoenix model is also a BMP test to evaluate the potential biogas volume. This model counts with 6 reactors with a large volume of 2l. This equipment is also easy sample handling and counts with robust stainless steel mixers. The material of the digester or tank reactor is 316 Stainless steel, but also with this model it is possible to store the digestate in a second tank attached to the reactors. The high reactor volume (2 litre) allows larger sample and inoculum volumes to be processed
It includes Gasflowmeter.
